FINANCE MANAGER - (MED-MLT-AUG-001)

Currently we have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic FINANCE MANAGER to join our dynamic team based in MALTA.
 
YOUR COMMITMENT
  • Develop and assist with the drafting and implementation of policies and procedures consistent across Company Group to ensure efficient and safe operation within the department.
  • Responsible to supervise, monitor and evaluate all day-to-day accounting activities.
  • Develop and implement systems for collecting, analysing, verifying and reporting financial information.
  • Ensure compliance with payment, reporting and other requirements pertinent to the filing of statutory returns.
  • On regular basis review the company’s accounting operations to ascertain needs and to recommend, develop and maintain solutions to problems.
  • Liaising with auditors, bankers, as well as with external advisors and ensuring that all necessary documentation is in order.
  • Assist the Chief Financial Controller to develop specific goals and plans to organise, plan and prioritise work within the Finance department.
  • Assist the Chief Financial Controller with the yearly audits carried out.
  • Responsible for debtor’s control and cash flow management.
  • Support Creditor’s control function.
  • Compile VAT returns and relevant NSO reports.
  • Provide timely management accounts.
  • Advise management about issues such as resource utilization, cost/benefit strategies, and the assumptions underlying budget forecasts.
  • Assistance in the preparation of the annual financial statements in line with IFRSs as well as assisting in the preparation of the audit file of Medserv Subsidiaries.
WHO ARE YOU:
  • Minimum holds a tertiary level of education in the finance field.
  • Holds a minimum five (5) years of experience in similar role.
  • Proven knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards laws and regulations.
  • Excellent written and spoken English language and ideally has knowledge in other languages.
  • Excellent networking skills.
  • Good influencing & persuasion skills
  • Very well organized and ready to work in a dynamic environment.
  • Proven experience in leading and motivating teams.
  • Understanding in designing and implementing internal control systems.
