YARD OPERATOR - (MED-MLT-JAN-004)
Currently we have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic YARD OPERATOR to join our dynamic team based in MALTA.
YOUR COMMITMENT
- Strictly follow all instructions of the Yard Team Leaders and Charge-Hands and immediately report on any unsafe situations, incidents, and other abnormalities.
- Participate in the loading/offloading operations, handling services at the operations base, quayside, pipe yards or any other designated area as a member of the crew of labourers/slingers.
- Operating Vehicles, Mechanized Devices, or Equipment - Running, maneuvering, navigating, or driving vehicles or mechanized equipment, such as forklifts, passenger vehicles.and trucks.
- Support in upkeep and for maintenance of plant and equipment. Carry out maintenance work within the Base and Quay as required.
- Understand clients’ requirements and ensure work completion in a satisfactory manner;
- Contributes to team effort by maintaining ongoing communications with other departments, and fellow personnel. Support in other tasks/ operations within the department and constantly collaborating with other team members within the organisation.
WHO ARE YOU
- Knowledge of written and spoken English & Maltese.
- Must hold a clean Driving Licenses: B & CE (Min.21 years of age or 19 years if holder of driver CPC).
- Ideally holds a minimum of (1) one year experience of operating front-facing counterbalance forklifts.
- Ideally holds previous experience in lifting operations within either oil & gas or marine environments.
- Holder of a valid work permit issued by respective Maltese authorities.
- Ability to work accurately in a demanding environment and adhering to HSSEQ requirements.
- Ability to work in a team with a flexible approach and a positive can-do attitude.
- Ability to perform manual handling activities.
- Good listening and communication skills.
- Willingness to learn.
TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT:
